Hi @Joost, we've not added Fluoride to Jake for a couple of reasons. Although beneficial in the prevention of dental caries, fluoride is not an essential nutrient needed for our growth or development (see page 8/9 of our vitamins write-up for some more information).
It's practically impossible to not consume Fluoride, as all water naturally contains fluorides, which basically means that all crops naturally contain Fluoride as well. In some countries, Fluoride is added to public drinking water as well.
Should we be adding Fluoride to Jake, it will add up to the Fluoride already present in your drinking water, anything else you eat, and the toothpaste you use (if you use Fluoridated toothpaste that is). Now, the upper intake limit for Fluoride is extremely low at only 200% RDA. Fluoride becomes toxic at a really low dose.
We surely don't want to intoxicate you, so there's no Fluoride added to Jake. Should you really be worried about getting too little Fluoride, simply go for a Fluoridated toothpaste. Fluoride has no place in food.
