Vitaminbar CoffeeCacao - The New Taste

hello Jake,

i recieved the new Vitaminbars (Coffee Cacao) today and i would like to give a feedback:
i loved the previous bars so much. However i find the new taste a bit too sweet and "artificial" if i can say that. The dryniess in my opinion was never a problem for the taste experience before.
The "crunchy part" feels a bit like eating an unhealthy chocolate bar or snickers. All in one they are not bad.. maybe i was too in love with the simpler taste of the ones before and i would like to be able to order them again at some point Thank you!

Hi @Andrei_Jugarean, thanks for the feedback, sorry to hear you prefer the old bars. We've tried to make them not too sweet, but make it more accessible for a larger audience. The idea that you're eating something 'unhealthy', while in fact you're eating something healthy is somewhat of a compliment

For now I have to disappoint you, we won't expect to go back to the old version. However, new flavors are certainly an option. We'll send out a survey in the upcoming period to ask customers about new wishes (flavors, products, etc). Feel free to keep sharing your wishes and feedback.

Finally I was able to try my new batch (all three flavors).

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed to feel the "oily film" back. The Coffee bars got rid of it, so I thought that was an improvement to keep.

Second, they looked like something "smashed" into the wrapper, not a properly shaped bar.

But I can live with those.

The problem is I think I prefer the old ones. This new ones remind me too much to the old Wunderbars (from another brand), the single most disgusting thing I've ever tasted (not that I found the new Jake Bars disgusting as those). Specifically, what reminds me of them is the new crunchiness and the overly sweet taste. I have a sweet tooth, but these are simply too, too sweet.

I did 4 per day with the previous ones, and no problem at all. But I'm not sure I will be able to do that with these new ones. I hope they'll grow on me during this month or I'm afraid I couldn't renew my subscription

But there's some positives. Texture is great. Chewiness is great and they left me quite full (more than the previous ones, I think).

Thanks for your feedback! I've noted it and when we're planning on changing the bars again, this will be taken into account. I hope that the bars will grow on you, so you're still able to enjoy your Jake!

I'm also chiming in to say i'm very dissappointed with the new flavor bars (Coffee Cacao & Forest Fruit). The previous ones were great! Good texture, good flavour. The new ones taste artificial and chemical, it's a chore even finishing one bar. I had ordered the maximum (80pcs) of both flavors expecting to receive the old flavors to go all in so this change comes at a very bad time. I will try to see if i can finish the whole batch but if not i will request a refund for the remainder. Please stop changing formula's (shakes & bars) so much! (unfortunately for me, your competitors do it too)

Thanks for your feedback! I'm sorry to hear that you don't like the renewed bars. For now, we've stopped changing formulas of both the shakes and the vitaminbars. Well, I decided to give them another opportunity, and bought another 80 bars.

What is my surprise today when the banana one seemed vastly improved in texture and taste (not that artificial anymore) from the previous batch that I eat just the day before.

Also, not that oily, as I could remove it from the wrappee more easily.

I'll need to check on the Forest Fruit and Chocolate, but did you change anything recently?

But not even a small change in formula? Forest Fruit and Chocolate remained the same, but Banana felt like a whole another bar altogether
