Home Shake Vitaminbar

I'm sure someone has asked this before, so many apologies if I'm just not finding the answer somewhere else. I'm also sure that I'm not the only person with a sensitive stomach, so apologies for being too personal, if that's what this is.

I ordered the starter box and everything was fine with the berry and vanilla flavors. No stomach reaction whatsoever. Then I got to the banana and I had indigestion. (I have indigestion almost every day as the reaction to something--no matter how careful I'm being with my food intake).

It doesn't seem logical that I'd have indigestion with the banana flavor and not the vanilla or berry. I'd like to order more Jake food, but I'm just not sure now. Anyone else have this problem--or one similar to it?

Thank you!
Stephen

Hi @smiller, sorry to hear that you’ve experienced digestion problems while taking the Banana shake.

The basis of the shakes are the same, it’s the flavouring that makes the difference. You can see this here6
as well. I can understand that it might not feel logical. Could it be that you had eaten something else just before or right after taking the Banana shake that may have caused this indigestion?

What I can think of, is that your body might need some time to adjust to a new and different type of diet. Your body is probably used to eating the same kind of things over and over and thus is used to digesting these foods. A sudden change of diet may require some adjusting time.

Where for one person this is no problem at all, for others it might take a little longer. After all, every person is different. You say that you experience this more often, are you known for certain products that cause indigestion?

If you think of trying again, I would advice try doing this gradually and build up slowly. Did you drink the Banana shake faster than the other ones? You could start with only half a meal and listen to how your body reacts. In the end, it is always the most important to listen to your body.
