Question: Import/duty fees

Hi,
So just a brief explaination of this post, I just ordered the introduction package from Jake and i'm quite happy with the shakes and bars, so thumbs up. A week or so after I received the package, i also received an Invoice from UPS for importing the package.
This was expected, as all import to Norway must pay a VAT. What i'm not so happy about, is that UPS is charging me a duty fee of 31,71NOK (about 3,2€) per kilogram. This using the HS tariff code: 21 06 90 98
Now this just about doubles the price per shake and makes it quite expensive in my view. So my question is: How would i go about declaring the shipment myself? And what would be a more appropriate HS code that would make the import cheaper?
UPS is also charging me an import commission fee for the paperwork, making the shakes even more expensive!

Glad to hear you're happy with your order.

Unfortunately we can't change these costs. Canada has very high import costs and UPS is the cheapest for us in this regard. €3.25/kg is of course much less per meal. With a meal of 0.165 kg this comes down to € 0.65 per bag. But by ordering more at once, it becomes relatively cheaper, because you don't have the one-time costs.

But we we may be able to do something custom with the invoice amounts. But then you would have to place a large order because we can't do this monthly. I hope this information is useful for you!
