Hi @Antoine, no worries here, all products are still non-GMO and will stay that way for the foreseeable future. We've removed the non-GMO label from the pouch as having it on there seems to imply that we are against the use of GMOs, while in fact, we're completely neutral on the subject.
We don't really have a specific stance on genetic engineering. There are pros as well as cons. We think that GMOs could potentially be very useful. Especially in feeding the big masses, which is of major importance to the human race. However, the EU is relatively strict on GMOs, which we also believe is useful. At least insofar the strict stance is based on scientific grounds - which strangely enough isn't always the case.
The truth of the matter is that as of today, no GMOs have been allowed within the EU that are interesting for Jake. Simply because none of them fit our desired nutritional/ingredient profile. Should a GMO become available that actually is interesting, we'd consider/test it like we would any other potential ingredient. And we would explicate our decision, as people do seem to care.
