It can be pretty damn hard to gain weight. Especially under the circumstances that you describe. We've created Jake to make eating healthy easy. It sounds like that's exactly what you need right now and I'm confident that improving your eating habits to stabilise your weight in a healthy way, is the right step for you right now.
Not eating enough causes an energy-deficit. Being low on energy all the time makes everything you do harder than it ought to be. Additionally, as the food you do eat isn't all-to-healthy either, it's quite likely that you're deficient of certain nutrients on top of your energy deficit. Nutrient deficiencies cause a wide spectrum of health problems. Getting those out of the way may help a lot.
We always advise starting gradually with Jake. Your body is used to the (good and) bad stuff you've been eating over the last years. Your gut flora has adapted to process the foods it has gotten used too. So have a meal of Jake, wait a day or two and have your next. Then gradually, over the course of some weeks, build up the amount of Jake you eat up to any point you like. This'll help your body get used to Jake.
I hope you'll start noticing changes soon! I'd love to hear how you're doing.
By the way, for when you're ready for it, the same goes for exercise: build up gradually. I'm not a fitness expert, but I do know that "I'll do 10 pushups every Tuesday morning" or "I'll sign up for a swimming course right now" is more likely to happen than "I'll start going to the gym soon".
