That's pretty idealistic! Because indeed, the labels are for profit and farmers complying with them will in 99% of the cases just be checking of the guidelines so they can sell their crops labelled organic.
Which large scale farming company would go so far as to go pure organic? Doing all this additional stuff that isn't rewarded with additional labels or anything. It surely would make the crops way more expensive. Also, small sized farms are way less efficient, and to battle our lack of agricultural space (check the Cowspiracy documentary) we need big efficient farms.
Are there any brands that use pure organic products in that sense anyways?
