How do I stop marketing emails from Jake?

Recently I've received unwanted marketing emails from Jake.

I have unsubscribed from emails in the past but each time I order my preferences seem to be reset.

One said that it was four weeks since my last order (which is wrong, it's not even two) and I should order more. One is asking me to sell to my friends like a pyramid scheme.

How do I PERMANENTLY stop marketing emails from Jake?

Hi @aybrown, that's quite annoying, my apologies.

In principle, you shouldn't receive any marketing emails as of the moment you hit the unsubscribe button. Obviously, that's not working properly. I'm going to make sure it'll be fixed.

Meanwhile I'll inquire if you can be manually unsubscribed.

Yes, I'm happily subscribed, but I'm still getting reminders to stock up on Jake from time to time, redundant. On the other hand, non-marketing mail with news about e.g. how it's going with Jake/ product updates would interest me.

Refer-a-friend and a pyramid scheme are completely different. This is just a nice incentive to stimulate word-of-mouth: If your friend uses your code he gets €20 and you get €20, which is nice.

A pyramid scheme is when a company doesn't sell a product but sells you the right to sell a product and you would make that payment to a company, so that you can earn money by having other people make a payment to that company, of which you would earn a percentage (more or less).

Why would you want to cease all Jake emails? I don't mind them, makes me feel like a valued customer.

I get many, many spam emails that I wish I could easily stop. I don't even look at them, just keep hitting the delete key. We just need to understand marketing emails are here to stay and it can be very effective if managed well. I think Amazon have a good balance. I get emails most days from Amazon and they are advertising what they think I would like based on what I have viewed or bought. I don't delete these and in fact welcome them.

I also noticed that many web pages I go to have a Jake advert with a 10% discount. When I need more Jake, I just click the buttons that get me the 10% off.
