Banana shake v2.0

I received my order this week and I was excited to try out the new banana shakes, as previously they were my favourite ones. I've been using Banana Light twice a day for the past 3 months and Jake in general for about 18 months.

I am heavily disappointed in the updated taste. It does not taste like banana at all. Right now I cannot make almost any difference in taste between the banana and vanilla shakes. They both taste oaty and that's about it. For me banana's "new flavour" is actually "lack of flavour".

Scrolling through the discussion in "What do you think of the new vanilla shake?", I feel like history is repeating itself.

Did other people try it out? What do you think?

​Thanks for your message and sharing your honest thoughts with us. The improved taste of the banana flavor has been tested by our testpanel of loyal customers. The participants gave us some very positive feedback. The new version has less aroma than the previous one. This is why it has a more natural taste which is perhaps not as strong as it was before. We can imagine it will cost some effort to get used to the new flavor if you were satisfied with the old taste for such a long time, but there are no new changes planned so far.

Personally, I feel like the new banana shake is a massive improvement! Sorry mate, can't back you up on this . Never liked the old shakes much (tasted like a children's desert to me, too sweet and weirdly chemical), so I gave up on them quite quickly and thought I'd stick to vanilla exclusively. However, upon trying the updated version I find myself enjoying the subtle fruity banana flavour combined with the oats so much that I am sure I will order it again next time I am out of shakes!

Got sick of the new Vanilla shakes because of the vastly reduced flavour, I have about ten left from my last order that I barely even want.
Last order I ordered just Banana and am having my first one now, not much difference between the two now, they are both very oaty shakes with the barest hint of their advertised flavours. The banana ones are a bit more enjoyable but not amazing overall, after my first one I regret getting 40 of them.

No idea what the test panel are looking for in these, obviously a different experience from me as if I buy something flavoured I want to actually be able to taste something.

Not sure why when you change the flavours you change them so drastically as you are messing with return customers that are returning because they like the current flavours, think it's time for me to start looking elsewhere, I'm wasting money on these now.

I quite like the new banana shakes. Yes, they taste a little like the candy banana's, but I don't mind it at all.
I prefer it over the old shakes.

@atat23, sorry to hear you're not pleased with the changes. As mentioned, and as you can read in other comments, the vast majority of the test panel and regular customers prefer the flavor over the old one. We will slowly add some extra flavor to get a bit more intense taste, but the basic formula will stay like this. The vanilla is under construction and a new sample will go to our test panel later on.

Within weeks we'll have the new Forest Fruit, really full in flavor. The coffee is almost ready as well. Hope both will better suit your taste.

Yes Next week we'll receive the new samples for our internal test panel. If they're good, we'll ship them to our customer test panel a week later. Our goal is; within 6-8 weeks!
